Ingredients:
- Shop bought pasty case (large or 4-6 smaller, individual cases)
- 3 x eggs
- 150ml x milk
- 150ml x double cream
- 100g x grated Gruyère (or cheddar!)
- 3 x tbsp finely chopped chives
- pinch of salt
- 100g x Tempus No. 8

Whisk the eggs and cream together and stir through the grated cheese, chopped chives and salt.
Pour into the pastry case then tear the Number 8 into small pieces and drop into the cream mix.
Bake for 25-30 mins or till set and turning golden.
Serve hot or cold with a crunchy green salad dressed with a sharp vinaigrette.
